Trekking on horseback through Wales on Welsh Cobs. The four-wheel-drives of the horse world, nothing stops them. Except the pub.

Eventing throughout Colorado and New Mexico, from Fort Collins to Santa Fa and back. This year we're doing the dressage circuit. Also, many treks around the neighborhood and down the Rio Grande.

Don't forget to breathe (especially when approaching that jump on cross country that looks as tall as a house).

When I was a teenager, we'd gallop bareback with only a halter. We'd fly up these old logging roads and jump whatever was in the way, grabbing mane for stability. I just closed my eyes and went. At that age, I didn't worry about medical bills and health insurance.

Well, I personally think anything Thelwell ever drew (Thelwell ponies) is pretty funny. I can't reproduce them here, but look Thelwell up online.
