Tuscany, Italy. For all the lack of green grass in the region, the horses down there are beautiful, and have shiney coats. Maybe there is something to a steady diet of straw and daily swims in the Med.

Just local. Not very impressive, I know. But, when you consider where we live, in the northern Bavarian hills, and the fact that there is a real, honest to gosh castle within view of my house that I do have occasion to ride up to....well, that's not too shabby either.

Get to know what your horse and try to understand what it's telling you. And whatever you do, don't be egotistical. Spend more time stading next your horse than sitting on it.
