Belle's Fear of Needles

Posted by emily on 7/19/2007 on emily's blog

This morning, we're conquering Belle's fear of needles. She's really ready to get to work, and it's almost time to sit on her. She looks more "horselike" every day and less like a bratty teenager.

Had the chiropractor/veterinarian out to check on B's back today, after the horse show where I had NO extended trot to speak of, and have a funny feeling on the left lead (see those earlier posts on my blog). Wondering what you all think of equine chiropractic? Personally, I think it works, but I'm curious about good and bad experiences.

Horses in the grain bin!

UGH!!! Woke up this morning and found all three horses in the grain room! They'd ingested about half of a bag of Omolene 100 and another half bag of Equine Adult!!! Ack!!!.

To walk or not to walk? That is the question. What do you do when you suspect your horse of potential colic? Do you walk him? There's conflicting research on this, and I'd like to know what you all think.
