Season Opener this Weekend

Posted by emily on 3/8/2007 on emily's blog

I woke this morning with 102 fever and a fire in my chest. In just a couple of days I'm supposed to once again try to get my qualifying scores at second level, at the New Mexico Dressage Association show. THis makes year three at second level, and I know the test so well I ride it in my sleep, which is what I'm going to be doing a lot of in the next two days. It's been a very long road, this second/third level leap, and of course at this moment I'm not feeling at all ready. In fact, I just want to go back to bed. Baleno is clipped up and shiny, but his partner is punk. I'll be laying low for the next two days, hoping Baleno somehow trains himself while I hunker down in bed and try to get rid of this flu in record time. At least I polished my boots last night. One less chore to worry about.
