Lost.... And found...

A few of my favorite things:
The tee shirt that Jo Fanelli, a friend and poster on yourhorsesports, made for me. The tee shirt has a close up of my beloved old eventer, Volare screened on the front. I bring Volare on every trip now, thanks to Jo.

My Cavallo paddock boots and chocolate brown Pikeur breeches, both purchased at significant discounts in a small town in Germany where I spend time every year riding. About the only things cheaper in Europe than the U.S. are riding breeches and boots.

My "Browbands by Design" belt that matches Baleno's somewhat bling-y browband. Looks great with jeans and dresses up black work slacks very nicely.

And all three of these things, plus my Brooks running shoes (I pronate, and Brooks are the only ones that work) and a book I was very engaged in, were all completely and totally lost for three hellish days. Delta lost my bags. ACK!!!! That tee shirt! Ack! My comfy paddock boots and breeches. Ack! My fancy and fun belt that (yes, call me a Dressage Queen) match my bridle. ACK! All gone... disappeared into the ether and the nice people in India couldn't find my suitcase.

Not surprisingly I could have cared less about my Chanel business suit (needed for meetings) or the expensive black pumps. It was the riding clothes (thrown in in case I had an opportunity to ride in Aiken, S.C. where I was headed) and the browband-matching belt, plus the tee shirt, that really pained me when they went missing from a Delta flight to Augusta, Ga.

just goes to show you where my priorities lies. But the suitcase showed up mysteriosly in my hotel room late this afternoon (along with my laptop charger) and I am writing to you in my Volare tee-shirt! All is again right with the world.
